I like to think you’re out there,
Watching over me,
Protecting me.
But I know in my heart,
That you’re forever gone,
Carried away by dust in the wind.
I like to think you’ll always be here,
Sheltering me from the cold,
Making sure I’m always warm.
But I in my head I know
That life will always be bitter without you
I'm trembling, lost in the snow.
I like to think you’re always in the next room,
Listening should anything go wrong,
In case I’m at all scared.
But within my body I know
That if something were to happen,
I’d be by myself. Cold and alone.
So as the wind carries your body away,
I say farewell to a man I love,
A man I will remember forever.

but it is great writing as usual.
But within my body I know
That if something does go wrong,
I’ll be by myself. Cold and alone.
Great Stanza!!

You've got a couple of redundancy's here.
Sheltering me from the cold... /That I’ll always be cold without you,
Though the emotion is right on, to say cold twice just doesnt sound right.
Listening in case anything goes wrong... /That if something does go wrong
Same problem.
Other than that, nothing that I see, very well written!
