I’m empty inside.

There’s nothing but ashes,
Of what I used to have,
That were burnt to nothing
When I heard of your passing.

You filled my world,
You were my everything.
And now I’m left with nothing.
Nothing but a memory,
Of a love I didn’t appreciate.

The detached narrative voice is absolutely spectacular - the simplcitiy makes this poem awesome. Great work.

it flows really good, and i like the first stanza and how it is repeated throughout the poem..it fits it all together. great job.
